Building your own house is nothing if not a high-stakes venture. Fortunately for you, we’re seasoned pros. These are just a few of the ways we make sure you don’t get left behind in the process.

Design assistance

Sometimes you aren’t quite sure what you’re looking for until it’s staring you in the face. We aren’t just expert carpenters. We also have plan drafters and interior designers on staff to help you conceptualize your home and add any finishing touches.

Communication

We’re always going to keep you in the loop—it’s your house after all. In fact, we’re so involved in keeping you involved, our clients almost never need to ask first.

Financing

It’s harder to get a mortgage for a house you’re building. Banks and lenders consider them higher risk because the only collateral is an unfinished home, so they have stricter requirements for approval that preclude a lot of people from building new, who would otherwise be happy in a custom home.

We offer in-house financing. Essentially, we’ll carry your house to completion and then you buy it from us afterwards. The process is closer to buying a house off the market, except you still get exactly what you want out of your home.

Warranty

All our homes are protected by a 2-5-10 Home Warranty, providing you with peace of mind:

  • 2 years on labour and materials (including coverage for major systems like plumbing, heating, and electrical).
  • 5 years on the building envelope, including protection against water penetration.
  • 10 years on the structure, covering the foundation and load-bearing elements.

But the best part? We’ve never had anyone claim a warranty on one of our homes. Warranties are always best when you don’t need them, aren’t they?
